I participate in the VILDA Network because of my personal passion for empowering women. Having grown up in Iran, where I faced suppression as a woman, I know firsthand the challenges we endure. I don’t take anything for granted, and I firmly believe that we, as women, must lift each other up. There is no room for jealousy. Instead, we should reach out and take the hands of the younger versions of ourselves, guiding them to avoid the mistakes we once made.
Through VILDA, Iwould have the privilege to support women-owned companies and startups, volunteer for organizations that empower women and girls, and share my insights through public speaking and writing. By serving as a mentor or role model, I hope to help other women navigate their paths, just as others have helped me.
Collaboration is key. Together, we can address gender-based challenges and create a more equitable world where women thrive, not just survive. Empowering women isn’t just a mission — it’s a responsibility we all share.
