Women’s health is widely described as underfunded. But where exactly are the gaps – and who is funding the research, innovation and companies trying to close them?
Together with Impact Invest and NORA, VILDA invites you to the first of two connected sessions exploring funding in women’s health. This online seminar will provide a concrete overview of where funding is lacking and the public and private actors supporting research and innovation today.
When? Wednesday, October 14, 16:00–17:30
Where? Online webinar
Event details
There is growing attention around the need for greater investment in women’s health. In this seminar, we move beyond the general discussion of underfunding and look more closely at where the gaps actually exist – both within research and in the development and growth of companies.
We will also explore who provides funding today, from major contributors to research and innovation to different types of public and private funders and investors.
Ruth Brännvall and Anna Sane will guide us through the landscape, with opportunities throughout the session to ask questions, discuss and share experiences with other VILDA and WiLD members.
This webinar is Part 1 of a two-part series on funding women’s health. In Part 2, a smaller in-person workshop on November 9, we move from understanding the funding landscape to exploring how individuals can become more actively involved as investors.
