VILDA launches Emerging Leaders to activate the next generation of women leaders in Life Science

VILDA is launching Emerging Leaders, a new network created for women in life science who are at an earlier stage of their leadership journey but already have the ambition to grow, influence, and help shape the future of the sector.

While women make up a large part of the life science workforce, they remain underrepresented in senior leadership and board roles. Too often, leadership potential is overlooked in the years when confidence, direction, and networks are formed long before formal titles are in place.

Emerging Leaders is VILDA’s response to that gap.

Hosted by VILDA, the network is designed for women who are not yet at the stage for VILDA membership, but who aspire to get there over time. It creates a dedicated, high-trust space to build the mindset, visibility, and strategic understanding that future leadership requires.

The network focuses on:

  • Early leadership activation
  • Strategic career navigation
  • Sustainable leadership capacity
  • Access to influence and governance literacy

By launching Emerging Leaders, VILDA is investing earlier in the leadership pipeline with the belief that a stronger, more inclusive life science sector depends on who is encouraged, equipped, and empowered to lead.

This is not only about individual development. It is about strengthening the future of life science through broader access to leadership, influence, and decision-making.
