We will explore what it means to become a business angel\, how private investment funds work and how individuals can contribute capital to early-stage companies. Using examples from Impact Invest’s health portfolio\, Ruth Brännvall and Anna Sane will share how investment opportunities have been assessed and how selected companies have developed over time – considering both financial outcomes and impact. The workshop will also touch on investor do’s and don’ts\, including common mistakes when investing in very early-stage companies and why many early investments do not generate a financial return. The format is designed to be interactive\, with room for questions\, discussion and shared experiences among participants.
